New measures were published in Madrid for the prevention of Covid-19. On September 7th, in the Official Bulletin of the Community of Madrid (BOCM) No. 217, the modification of the Order 668/2020, of June 19th. Preventive measures are established to face the health crisis caused by the COVID-19.
New measures in Madrid for the prevention of Covid-19
These measures are summarized below
Participation in groups of people
For the development of any activity or event of a family or social nature, both on the public road and in public and private spaces:
- It is limited to a maximum of 10 people unless they are living together.
- It is recommended that the population reduce social gatherings outside of the cohabitation group.
Measures for hostelry and restaurants
Measures for the development of activity in these establishments in interior spaces
- It is not possible to exceed 75% of the capacity if it is a table, and 50% if it is a bar.
- During the consumption at the bar, the maintenance of the proper interpersonal safety distance of at least 1.5m between clients or groups of clients must be ensured.
- The tables or groups of tables must keep a distance of at least 1.5m from the chairs assigned to the other tables or groups of tables.
- The maximum occupation per table or group of tables is 10 people.
- At the most at 1:00 hours, the establishments will have to cease their activity, not being able in any case to admit new clients from 00:00 hours. The closing time will be the one authorized by the company if it is before that time.
- The banquet halls must comply with the conditions set out in the previous points. With the exception of the percentage of the capacity, which cannot exceed 65%. In addition, they must ask for the identification data of those attending an event, including a contact telephone number. And keep this information in case it is required by the health authority in case of investigation of an outbreak. The collection of data will require the consent of the person concerned.
Measures and conditions for the development of activity in these establishments in terraces
- The percentage of capacity allowed on the outdoor terraces will be 100% of the tables allowed in the immediately preceding year based on the corresponding license. However, it must be guaranteed that the proper interpersonal safety distance of at least 1.5m between clients or groups of clients is maintained.
- The tables or groups of tables must keep a distance of at least 1.5m from the chairs assigned to the other tables or groups of tables.
- The maximum occupation per table or group of tables will be 10 people and they must stop their activity at 1:00 am at the latest. Under no circumstances will new clients be admitted after 00:00. The closing time will be the same as if it was before that time.
Prohibition of smoking
The ban on smoking on public roads or in outdoor spaces is maintained. When the minimum interpersonal distance of at least 2 meters cannot be respected. This includes the terraces of catering establishments. This measure was established in the BOCM No. 200 of August 19, 2020.
This limitation also applies to the use of any other tobacco inhalation device, water pipe, bong or similar.
The measures of the order will be reviewed within fifteen calendar days. For its modification or maintenance according to the evolution of the epidemic.
