The Labour Calendar 2024 of Madrid for the year 2024 has been approved for the Community of Madrid. To the 9 days that are celebrated coincidentally throughout Spain, we must add those of the Autonomous Community of Madrid, as well as the two local holidays of each municipality. Since all the municipal corporations are or have already approved their local holidays.
Labour Calendar 2024 in Madrid
The Directorate General of Labour of the CAM declares the following holidays to be non-working days, paid and not recoverable in the year 2024. Among the national holidays, such as those of the Community of Madrid.
Labour holidays of the Community of Madrid in 2024
- January 1st (Monday), New Year’s Day (*)
- January 6th (Saturday), Epiphany of the Lord.
- March 28th, Holy Thursday.
- March 29th, Holy Friday.
- May 1st (Wednesday), Labor Day.
- May 2nd (Thursday), Community of Madrid Holiday.
- July 25th (Thursday), Santiago Apóstol.
- August 15th (Thursday), Assumption of the Virgin.
- October 12th (Saturday), Spanish National Holiday.
- November 1st (Friday), All Saints Day.
- December 6th (Friday), Spanish Constitution Day.
- December 25th (Wednesday), Nativity of the Lord.
(*) The days marked in bold are national holidays.
In addition to the twelve related holidays, two local holidays will be celebrated in each municipality.
In the case of Madrid city, the following days will be local holidays:
- May 15th (Wednesday), San Isidro Labrador (Patron Saint of the city of Madrid).
- November 9th (Saturday), Nuestra Sª de La Almudena (Patron Saint of the city of Madrid).
