In 2020, the coronavirus pandemic has brought news about this modality of working from home. Previously, it was only contemplated minimally in article 13 of the Worker’s Statute. However, now the Royal Decree-Law 28/2020, of September 22nd, on remote work, greatly expands the legal views concerning teleworking from the point of view of the company and workers.
This new law on teleworking provides for control of this type of work in order to promote it and increase safety for both employees and employers. Companies should take it into account to avoid competing in practices that may lead to sanctions.
