Grants for industrial SMEs in Madrid 2022 to support the implementation of Industry 4.0 projects. The call for 2022 has been opened by the Ministry of Economy, Employment and Finance of the Community of Madrid.
It has a budget of €6,531,150, and industrial SMEs can apply for it.
Grants for industrial SMEs in Madrid 2022
In the case of SMEs in the city of Madrid, they can also apply for aid from the City Council.
SMEs in the industrial sector that have a work center in the Community of Madrid will be eligible for aid. And that develop a productive industrial activity.
It will be understood that the applicant develops a productive industrial activity if its corporate purpose refers to activities included in Section C-Divisions 10 to 32 of the National Classification of Economic Activities (CNAE 2009).
Only one application per company will be accepted.
Documents to be submitted with the application
First of all, a deed must be provided proving the sufficient power of representation of the signatory of the application on behalf of the company. Unless said power of attorney is accredited by means of certification of the commercial registry.
In addition, updated certification of the mercantile registry, in which it is specified, in the appropriate cases, the date of constitution, the object, CNAE, capital and head office. As well as the formation of the Board of Directors or Board of Directors, proxies and partners who hold more than 10% of the shares. Without forgetting, sufficient power of attorney in favor of the signatory, in the case of companies. This Certificate may be replaced by the presentation of the deeds of incorporation of the applicant company and its subsequent duly registered amendments.
Additionally, three offers from different suppliers. All of them prior to the contracting of the commitment for the work, the rendering of the service or the delivery of the good. When the amount of eligible expenditure exceeds €15,000. Except in the case of contracting works, the amount of which shall be €40,000. For lower expenses, at least a single bid or proforma invoice must be provided.

For the purposes of determining the SME status of the company
Supporting documentation of the complete corporate income tax return for the last closed fiscal year and the financial audit report, if applicable. In the case of newly created companies, supporting documentation of the number of workers in the company.
The RLC, RNT (former TC1 and TC2), ITA, labor life. Or equivalent accrediting document, issued by the Social Security, of the month of December of the fiscal year immediately prior to the presentation of the application. The report of the average annual number of workers in situation of high. Or any other supporting document issued by the Social Security.
In the case of SMEs associated or linked in the capital or in the voting rights by another or others. The following documentation of the company/s participating in the applicant must be attached:
- Deed of incorporation duly registered and its subsequent amendments.
- Documentation accrediting the last company tax paid.
- Certification issued by the Social Security Administration, accrediting the number of dependent workers of the company.
For the purposes of the project report
This should include the following aspects
- Current status of the company in terms of work methodology and implementation of innovative solutions in the field of Industry 4.0.
- Technology already implemented and currently available in the company. Technology associated with Industry 4.0 to be implemented with the project. And the way in which this technology is applied to achieve the stated objective, specific to your production process.
- Changes that you intend to face in your company with the new technology developed in the project.
- Description of the effects that the specific Industry 4.0 project to be subsidized will have on the company’s current production process.
- The project to be implemented must correspond unequivocally with the eligible actions reflected in the grant application.
- Exhaustive and detailed list of the investments to be made in order to implement the project. Justifying the need for the equipment to be financed, according to the objectives of the project and the company’s production process.
- Considerations that have been taken into account. Or, if applicable, advice that has been required when choosing the investments selected in the aid application.
- In case of having been a beneficiary of aid in previous years. Indicate the difference between the project(s) financed in previous years and the one requested this year. Bearing in mind that we are talking about projects and not only about specific investments.
- Quantified and detailed breakdown of each one of the investments, both of the eligible and ineligible expenses.
Justify compliance with the incentive effect of the project that is the object of the subsidy requested.
Procedure of the Community of Madrid in the grants for industrial SMEs in Madrid 2022
The Community of Madrid will consult, by electronic means, the data of the following documents. Unless the applicant opposes to the consultation and justifies such opposition. Or, as the case may be, he/she does not authorize the consultation and provides such documentation:
Firstly, the NIF/NIE of the applicant who holds the power of representation of the entity.
In addition, the certificate of being up to date in the fulfillment of tax obligations with the State Treasury.
Also certificates of being up to date with Social Security obligations.
Additionally, the entity’s tax identification card.
Finally, the registration in the Economic Activities Tax (IAE).
What actions are eligible?
The investments and consultancy services must be related to the following actions:
- Implementation of innovative business solutions using technologies linked to: (i) open/linked/big data; (ii) data analytics.
- Future Internet.
- Collaborative platforms.
- Implementation of innovative communications and data processing solutions: (i) connectivity (ii) mobility (iii) cloud computing.
- Implementation of innovative solutions in manufacturing processes using technologies such as (i) augmented reality; (ii) collaborative robotics; (iii) additive manufacturing; (iv) sensors and embedded systems; (v) process control.
- Implementation of ICT applications and solutions in the value chain of the industrial company.
- Cybersecurity and digital trust.
- Social networks as vehicles for potential business development.
Compatibility of grants
This aid is incompatible with any other public aid for the same investment. Exceptions are aid granted in programs and/or actions of the European Union. Up to the maximum limits reflected in Commission Regulation (EU) 651/2014.
The applicant must declare all the Community aid it has applied for or obtained for the same investment. Both when the file is initiated and at any time during the procedure in which this occurs.
Eligible Expenditures
Firstly, the acquisition, renovation or extension of material investments. Consisting of installations, machinery and equipment, except for the acquisition of land and building expenses.
Additionally, the acquisition, renovation or extension of intangible investments. That is, assets that do not have a physical or financial materialization, such as patents, licenses, know-how or other property rights.
