The Digital Kit 2021 program is approved by Order ETD/1498/2021, of December 29 (BOE 30/12/2021). This order approves the regulatory bases for the granting of aid for the digitalization of small companies, micro-enterprises and self-employed persons. Within the framework of the Agenda España Digital 2025, the SME Digitalization Plan 2021-2025 and the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan for Spain. Financed by the European Union through the Next Generation EU funds.
Digital Kit 2021 program
The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation has published the regulatory bases for the Kit Digital 2021 program. These establish the applicable framework for the distribution of €3,067 million in the period 2021-2023. For the deployment of a set of digital solutions in companies with up to 49 workers and self-employed workers in the form of “digital bonus”.

Beneficiaries
Small companies, micro-enterprises and self-employed workers, belonging to any sector or type of business and whose tax domicile is in Spain. Companies or self-employed workers who are Adhering Digitizing Agents are not eligible. Nor those with which they contract or subcontract for the provision, in whole or in part, of digitization solutions.
As a prerequisite, it is essential to have the Digital Maturity Level assessment. According to the diagnostic test available on the Acelera Pyme platform.
Subsequently, it is necessary to materialize a Digitization Solutions Provision Agreement with a Digitization Agent adhered to the Program.
The categories of digitization solutions are as follows
- Website and Internet Presence.
- E-commerce.
- Social Network Management.
- Customer Management.
- Business Intelligence and Analytics.
- Process Management.
- Electronic Invoicing.
- Virtual Office services and tools.
- Secure Communications.
- Cybersecurity.
Application deadlines for the Digital Kit 2021 program
The deadline for submitting applications to become a beneficiary will be at least three months from the publication of the corresponding call for applications or until the exhaustion of the budgetary credit of the call for applications. The maximum period for the consumption of the digital voucher will be 6 months. To be counted from the notification of the resolution granting the aid.
Above all, it is important to know that the aids will be granted in order of application.
Amount of the aid
The beneficiaries will receive a digital bonus according to their size, measured by the number of employees. The company segments will be as follows:
First, the so-called Segment I. Small companies between 10 and 49 employees: 12,000 euros.
Then Segment II. Small companies or Micro-companies between 3 and less than 9 employees: €6,000
Finally, Segment III. Small or Micro companies with between 0 and 2 employees: 2.000€.
Eligible expenses
Aid for the adoption of digitalization solutions may be used to cover expenses incurred by the beneficiary. They may involve a functional improvement or a completely new eligible solution.
The first aid package, valued at 500 million euros, will be aimed at companies with between 10 and 49 employees. They are expected to be published in the coming weeks, followed by different aid packages. These will be aimed at different groups of SMEs according to their number of workers.
The payment of the subsidy or digital bonus, will be made directly to the Digitalizing Agents Adhered. Once each phase of the service has been justified and verified.
