Exclusions
There are some circumstances in this general approach that would exclude the possibility of making unemployment compatible with being self-employed. Or when the professional intends to join a self-employed activity, a cooperative or a Worker Owned Company that has already been set up.
Nor will it be possible when the last registration with the Social Security system was, precisely, as a self-employed person. Nor will it be possible if this type of activity has been used in the two years prior to the date of commencement of the new activity as a self-employed professional. The last exclusion posed by Social Security is if a contract is signed with someone who has previously worked as an employee.
